Note: Oh, BTW, PowerPoint Though had Developer tab in 2011 no longer has one in 2016. On a Windows PC in PowerPoint this tab is not visible by default, you have to go to the customisation settings to turn it on via File / Options / Customize Ribbon.
Normally the developer tab is turned off (unchecked). I read around to find out how and I find I should click anywhere on the chart and the Chart Tools thing will pop up with three choices under it: Design, Layout, and Format, and I should choose Layout.
